Managing life

Why is it that I seem to have little control over my life at the moment? Every room of our house looks one of those "before" pictures for Clean Sweep -- well, except for the kids' bathroom, probably because I can't trust Nicholas with anything in there. On top of that, work is very overloaded right now. And DH is overloaded with work, too. Seems like we are spending much of our time going through the motions right now.

I think I need to take a time management class again. That and do some serious decluttering. Maybe it's time to revisit the FlyLady's methods.

Two sick children

The dreaded day arrived -- I got a phone call at 4:15 pm that Nicholas was sick at daycare (100.5 fever) and then 25 minutes later got a second call that Natalie was sick at preschool (100.7 fever), too. And of course I got both of these calls while I am in this "very important meeting". So Bad Mommy finished her meeting and had both kids wait for 30 minutes. Thankfully my office is just a block away from daycare/preschool.

Happy 45th Birthday, DH! Could you even imagine that when we were first met back in 1982 that you would be celebrating your 45th birthday with your 3 year-old daughter and your 1 year-old son? Young children help keep you young, right????
